The Women's Organisation (formally Train 2000) draws on a pool of associates who are all experienced practitioners from a cross section of disciplines.

Kelly Barton

After graduating from University with a BA (Hons) Degree in English and Drama, Kelly went on to do a Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism, prior to starting her career as a Reporter for the Lancashire Evening Post group and Liverpool Daily Post & Echo news group. She later moved into the area of PR and Marketing and undertook the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Professional Diploma in Marketing. Kelly has worked for a number of organisations and has extensive experience within the area of marketing. She recently became self-employed and now offers marketing support to small and medium sized businesses and also writes articles and features for a number of publications.

Clare Campbell

Clare is a leader in the field of personal development programmes especially designed to encourage hard to engage groups. Wildly different to anything currently on offer within regeneration and employment schemes, she works nationally with a range of public, private and third sector organisations including: NHS, Libraries, School Mentors, Teenage Pregnancy units, Connexions, Sure Starts, City Councils, Prison Service, GPs Surgeries, Schools, Enterprise Agencies, Voluntary sector, Refuges, Womens Aid, Capital of Culture, Job Centre Plus and many more places. Her magical, sassy and creative company, Wild Woman, develops and delivers ground breaking creative self esteem workshops, using innovative approaches to raising self esteem at a very grassroots level in communities.

Jane Gallagher

Former Liverpool Echo journalist Jane set up her own PR company with the help of Train 2000 in November 2003. Alongside her PR consultancy service, which delivers advice to small and medium businesses on media matters, she also provides a range of tailor-made workshops to help new and emerging companies maximize their PR potential. Jane has worked for local, regional and national publications since 1989. She is a writer in residence at HMP Garth and also works with the Creative Partnerships Team to help schools across Merseyside develop their journalistic skills.

Lin Hankinson

Lin has worked in a variety of roles within the NHS, Liverpool Hope University and the Voluntary and Community sector. She understands the challenges and barriers, faced by some women and uses her interpersonal skills to good advantage, connecting with women to inspire aspirations and encourage them to investigate their options. Lin gained a degree in Sociology & Psychology at the University of Liverpool, is a qualified Counsellor (Certificate & Diploma) and is currently completing a Management Diploma at Liverpool Hope University. She is also a Trustee Board member of a local Charity.

Dr Vanessa Hogbin

Director of Strategic Solutions, Vanessa specialises in strategic research and evaluation and providing evidence-based advice on policy development. She works mainly with organisations from the public and third sector involved in enterprise and economic regeneration. She has many years experience of analysing complex information and presenting it simply. An avid researcher, Vanessa completed her Ph.D. in Political Sociology, in 2006, at the University of Manchester. Vanessa built her wide range of experience in a number of key roles, initially within the Department for Education and skills, followed by a move to the Department of Trade and Industry, where she achieved the position of National Policy Director, with responsibility for the West Midlands region, national policy for enterprise and regeneration and enterprise for under represented groups.

Ruth Livesey

Ruth is a partner at Pelican, delivering enterprising solutions to regeneration. Her particular expertise lies in the social economy and women's enterprise development strategies. She has a Masters in Social Enterprise from Liverpool John Moore's University, awarded with Distinction. In her most recent role before Pelican, Ruth built the social enterprise: Women's Business Network (NW) Ltd, achieving a membership of fifty networks across the North West region, representing over 5,000 women in business. With career foundations built in financial accounting and auditing, she identified enterprise support and development as a field where she could make a difference. She is a great believer in the value of networks to encourage the expansion of social capital, through trust and reciprocity.

Ali McGrath

Having run her own business since 2004, Ali is well placed to understand the needs of clients wanting to develop their business, she excels in enabling entrepreneurs to take forward a business idea and transform into a viable proposition. Her business; AMC Commercial offers comprehensive financial advice services to a range of unique and diverse clients, including start up advice, business consulting, restructuring and commercial lending. In the past 3 years, AMC has worked with over 100 successful new and established businesses that now contribute to the growth of Merseyside economy, with over £4 million of commercial borrowing achieved. Prior to being self employed, Ali built her business and financial knowledge during her 15 year career at NatWest Bank PLC, where she was one of the highest performing business managers in the North West.

Estelle Neuman

Estelle Neuman is the Senior Consultant of Syntax Consultancy & Training Services (Syntax-CTS), a business specialising in support services to individuals, groups and organisations seeking to establish traditional enterprises and Social Enterprise. Estelle is an SFEDI accredited Business Advisor and a full member of the Institute of Business Consulting with extensive experience of the development and implementation of projects that underpin economic regeneration and the development of employment & training initiatives and programmes.

Pat Parry

Following a career in marketing & advertising in a multi-national media organisation, Pat decided in 2001 that the time was right to establish her own business training consultancy and launched PPBA Ltd offering training and Business Development workshops, covering areas such as: marketing your business; successful selling; coaching skills and networking. She is also founder of UK Sefton Women's Business Network, a forum where likeminded business women could find understanding, support and guidance on all aspects of setting up and running a business. Recognising that networks create solid foundations for relationships that help both personal development and business growth, Pat went on more recently to establish Women's Business Network International, extending the potential for women to broaden their networking opportunities and build connections in Cyprus; Ireland; New Zealand and Sweden.
