The Women's Organisation (formally Train 2000) aims to deliver high quality services, which make a real impact in people's lives. To help us achieve this, we monitor and evaluate our performance on a regular basis, seeking out ways we can improve in all areas of the organisation.

Social accounting is a systematic means of accounting for the social impact of an organisation, by gathering, collating and analysing social impact measurement information.

To help us assess how we are performing, we look at internal monitoring data which tells us if we are achieving our output targets and we also talk to our stakeholders, including: clients; staff; Board members; associates and partner organisations, to find out what they think. On completion, the social accounts are externally verified by the independent social audit panel, led by a registered Social Auditor.

The Women's Organisation (formally Train 2000) adopts the Social Audit Network model of social accounting. Undertaking the social accounting process enables The Women's Organisation to account for our performance against objectives, report on that performance, review the impact that we make as an organisation and identify areas for improvement.
