Partnership working for Women's Enterprise Support Infrastructure
Train 2000 strives to develop and build on its working partnerships in order to empower women and promote their role as businesswomen, employees, and social entrepreneurs in the economic regeneration. Examples of the work that Train 2000 has achieved nationally and internationally to promote women's social entrepreneurship and diversity include the collaboration within the following initiatives:
WBN
The Women's Business Network (North West) established 2001, supports the creation of new business networks for women across the North West of England and links these networks together to enable the sharing of good ideas and the expansion of business contacts across the region. As well as acting as a 'network of networks' Women's Business Network aims to raise awareness of the barriers faced by women who want to set up their own business and to campaign on issues affecting its members. Train 2000 supported the development of WBN, and Tricia Dinan holds the chairperson's position on the Board of Directors.
INNOVA
INNOVA is a Slovenian project working to establish best practice and core competences for the role of 'Promoters of Women's Enterprise'. The partnership includes Slovenian, British and Austrian organisations collaborating to develop the work. This relationship originated in some consultancy delivered by Train 2000 to the Slovenian partners.

Partnership working for the Social Economy
Social Enterprise Network
The Social Enterprise Network (SEN) is a membership organisation formed to offer a common voice for the not for profit organisations, social enterprises and voluntary sector organisations within its membership. Train 2000 is a member of the SEN.

Other Partners
The Merseyside Social Enterprise Initiative (MSEI)
The MSEI was developed with the support of Train 2000 management team under the auspices of the Social Enterprise Network.
The aim of the initiative is to:
- To produce an action plan to develop the support structure for social enterprise on Merseyside
- To develop a sub-regional role of co-ordination, networking and sharing best practice.
- To encourage a co-ordinated approach to funding ie SBS, LA, Objective 1, ES, NWDA etc.
- To fund specific social enterprise support projects.
The Train 2000 management team played an active role in the strategic development and management of the MSEI through supporting a Merseyside audit of social enterprises, delivery of social auditing training and attending consultation meetings in the following areas: business support and workforce development for social enterprises.
Partnership Working for Direct Delivery to Clients
POWER Programme
The POWER Programme is delivered through a through a package of contracts with public sector agencies, and some private sector support.
European Social Fund
Train 2000 have been successsful in securing European Social Fund (ESF) from the Merseyside Objective One Programme to support the POWER Programme under priority 2 measure 17 of the programme complement which is specifically focussed upon women's economic development.
Barclays Bank
Barclays Bank support the POWER Provision through provision of staff time to support clients, and through cash contributions for example for prizes for client achievement awards.
Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU)
Train 2000 work closely with LJMU for the provision of management training for women. In the accounting period the university have contributed staff time and accreditation costs to the POWER Programme funding package.
