Planning for Success

A 3-day or 5-evening inter-active workshop for women with a clear business idea who want to turn their idea into a reality. This accredited programme will help you to understand the key elements of planning for your business and give you the tools to write your own business plan.

You will learn how to:

  • Articulate the vision for your business
  • Set realistic and achievable aims and objectives for your business
  • Understand your customers needs
  • Check out your competitors
  • Design a marketing plan for your business
  • Complete financial forecasts & identify any grants or loans you may be eligible to apply for

All of this will help you to make the best decisions to move your business idea forward.

Getting Ready… to start your own business

2 days per week for 4 weeks this programme of interactive workshops is for women preparing to start and run their own business successfully. This accredited programme will give you the skills to write your own business plan, and the opportunity to find out what it's really like to run your own business.

During the programme you will:

  • Understand the key elements of business planning
  • Learn the tools to plan for and successfully manage your own business
  • Meet with business bank managers to understand how they can help you
  • Hear what it's really like - the highs and lows from one of Merseyside's successful women entrepreneurs
  • Gain the skills to write your own business plan
  • Know where to find and how to apply for business start up grants and loans

Business Skills Workshops

Half day workshops for women who are running their own businesses, the workshops are designed to provide practical help for you to manage and develop your business successfully. They include:

  • Basic Book Keeping

    A practical workshop for you to understand what records you need to keep and how to make sense of them!
  • Public Relations (PR)

    A practical approach to using PR for the benefit of your business.
  • Tax and National Insurance

    Get to meet the people from the tax office and understand what you really need to do to keep on top of your tax liabilities.
